Mountain Blvd. Railroad Mural Project

In 2015 the MSIC is ready to take the next step in recognizing Montclair’s rich history by managing a mural project at the Mountain Trestle in the Montclair Village.

We are happy to report that donors have contributed just over $8,000 for the Mountain Blvd, Railroad Mural. Donations have ranged between $10 and $200. Artist Andrew Johnstone will be able to begin work when we have raised $20,000 of the $40,000 project cost. Please invite your friends and neighbors to make contributions!

For more information and to support this project, visit our Mountain Blvd. Railroad Mural Project donation page.

About the MSIC: The Montclair Safety and Improvement Council (MSIC) is a volunteer community advisory group to the City of Oakland, CA, whose purpose is to improve the quality of life in the greater Montclair area by promoting a variety of safety and lifestyle enhancements.

Empowering organized neighborhoods in the greater Montclair area to address safety and other issues of importance to them is our primary goal. Both Montclair Organized Neighborhoods (MONs) and the MSIC concentrate on the Areas of Focus identified by our residents.

We encourage you to join us in our efforts to make the greater Montclair area a better place to live, work, shop, and enjoy.
