About the MSIC: The Montclair Safety and Improvement Council (MSIC) is a volunteer community advisory group to the City of Oakland, CA, whose purpose is to improve the quality of life in the greater Montclair area by promoting a variety of safety and lifestyle enhancements.
The MSIC is a Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) that encompasses the geographical boundaries of Oakland Police Department Beat 13Z.
Empowering organized neighborhoods in the greater Montclair area to address safety and other issues of importance to them is our primary goal. Both Montclair Organized Neighborhoods (MONs) and the MSIC concentrate on the Areas of Focus identified by our residents.
We encourage you to join us in our efforts to make the greater Montclair area a better place to live, work, shop, and enjoy.
